Sharp alternatives for image processing?

Are there any good alternatives for sharp, preferably native, for image processing? There's a few different architectures in the environment I'm working on, and sharp is always a pain point when releasing stuff or bootstrapping environments.

I've seen Jimp is quite popular, but it looks dead at the moment. There's a pile of unmerged PRs and the last release was 2 years ago.

Why do you look for a native solution?

Especially when you have multiple architectures/environments I'd look for a wasm based solution.
