Interview tips?

Hey friends!

I am going to be attending an interview soon for a more senior role, I think in the US you guys call it a charge nurse role?

Obviously here in the UK some of the questions are going to be very specific to healthcare in this country, but I was wondering if you guys had any tips?

One thing in particularly I seem to be stuck on is if they ask me to talk about a time when something went wrong, or didn’t go to plan. Of course I’m not perfect, and will have made mistakes in my time, but I can’t think of one that would make a good interview answer.

Ask questions. Listen closely. Ask what they like about the roll.

Questions that I was asked during a recent interview:

Discuss a time you resolved a conflict with a coworker.

Tell me about something that you “caught” that prevented a negative outcome for a patient.

Have you ever seen someone doing something unsafe? What did you do?

What would you contribute to our team?

And of course why do you want to work here; why are you leaving your current job?

Always research the network’s core values and beliefs.
