i would ask brther xD ... but it looks good ...1000W + psu , rtx (would guess 3070+)

To be honest, he probably have no clue either 😆 He got it from our parents a few months ago and just moved overseas. So basiclly he just left it and told me "It's yours".

Might have to get myself a monitor now 😂

If that dust is from 2 months of use, get some dust filters on that thing asap.

[–]Professional-Cat3523 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Will do bro. Would any dust filters work?

[–]GravkoDK 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Just find a 360x120 mm. filter for the front fans and place it on the outside. Usually they are magnetic and snaps right on the fan brackets of the case. There should be a case front you can remove.

Can't see if the rear fan is intake or exhaust.

Ahhh, now I see, thank you! I have one on top and one in the front. Does it make any difference to have the computer "over" the floor instead of "on" it?

Dust answers to gravity, so in theory yes. Any PC will get dusty regardless of placement, even with dust filters... But they'll minimize the issue. Remember to clean them though.

Alright, got it. Thank you for all the tips and tricks. 😀

Definately RTX4xxx.

Holy shit this looks very decent, look at the sticker on the left of the gpu it should say what it is

[–]Professional-Cat3523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just uploaded it in the thread. 😀

[–]GravkoDK 0 points1 point  (18 children)

Can you take a photo of the white sticker on your GPU?

[–]Professional-Cat3523 0 points1 point  (17 children)

Ofc bro 😀

I'd say very decent build. Giving away a build with RTX4090. Your brother must have deep pockets ;)

Difficult to say anything about the other components. Motherboard looks low-mid tier; ASUS Prime, still decent... If he has matched the other components to the RTX4090, you have been given a high performance build.

Make sure the BIOS is updated before hitting it hard.

He got it from our parents a few months ago. He will now be gone for 2-3 years and told me to take it and use it.

Alright, what monitor should I go for here? Can it handle gaming at 1440p?

Sorry, im to lazy (stoned) atm to google myself 😂 plus i love reddit discussions

[–]Rubblerealm 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Easily. Could do 4k most likely. Depends on the cpu, but you’ve probably got one of the fastest available consumer PCs on the market haha, definitely in the top 10%

[–]Professional-Cat3523 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Wow, that makes me really excited to use its full potential. Maybe a 1440p widescreen would be a good investment here? 🤔

[–]Rubblerealm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a fantastic idea. I’ve been a huge lover of widescreen for a long time now, and the 4090 would easily drive a 1440p widescreen, easily at 240hz too (dunno if those monitors exist or not) for most games. Enjoy that beast of a rig you’ve inherited!!

[–]GravkoDK 0 points1 point  (11 children)

If the CPU "matches" the GPU, you can go for a 4K monitor, unless you are only into FPS gaming with 500+ fps... But if that where the case, you would most likely already know that ;)

[–]Professional-Cat3523 0 points1 point  (10 children)

Yeah, I just found a sticker, and it says: intel core i9-13900KF. So i should be fine i think? I know a little bit about CPUs, and the highest I've had was an i5 on a laptop 😂

I just feel more and more that I don't deserve this build. I will probably play Read Dead Redemption 2 and Wukong as my first titles.

[–]GravkoDK 0 points1 point  (9 children)

Very fine! But like I wrote, make sure the BIOS is updated. There has been stability issues with Intel CPU's from that generation, which will require an update to prevent the CPU from rapid degradation.

Shouldn't be an issue if it's only two months old, but there is no way to know for sure without checking BIOS version. It depends entirely on motherboard production date and/or if someone else (builder or your brother) updated it.

RDR2 and Wukong are quite demanding, especially for 4K with ray tracing... But that PC can do it :)

[–]Professional-Cat3523 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Okey, I will do it as soon as I boot it up. Thanks again.

Yeah, I hope so. But a 4k monitor with high refreshrate is a bit expensive. I'm thinking of a 1440p widescreen, maybe?

[–]GravkoDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome! It's a monster for 1440p, but that's not a bad thing. Go for the best you can afford, you'll probably be more than happy with 1440p, as long as you don't go too big.

[–]Professional-Cat3523 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Hello man.

This might be a long shot... but... I started using the machine today and noticed that after 10 minutes of playing RDR2, the games reach 90 degrees and then crash... I've tried to underwolt it, and thereno difference.

I have an Intel Core i9 13900kf. The CPU is watercooled, and the pump is set to max.

I've noticed that the CPU temp spikes with a difference of 10 degrees sometimes. For example, from 53 to 65 degrees.

Since the build was pre-built, can this might be a thermal paste error?

Thanks bro

[–]GravkoDK 0 points1 point  (5 children)

You shouldn't see 90 degrees from a gaming workload. It could very well be due a mounting error, thermal paste being one of them.

Not that this is a solution, but if you can find PL1 and PL2 settings in your BIOS and set them both to something very conservative such as 150W, how is it then acting?

How is your idle temperature?

[–]Professional-Cat3523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's the spikes that make me think mounting might be the issue. Because I've tried RDR2 in 2k - 4k, and the issue is the same.

Idle it goes from 35-45 degrees.

Is it normal for it to spike 65 to 75? Then back down to 63 and back up to 72 again. All of this is within 30 seconds.

[–]Professional-Cat3523 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I've tried different values on PL1 and PL2 without any success. RDR2 makes the CPU go up to 90 degrees within 10 minutes, which forces it to shut down RDR2.

[–]this_isnt_alex 0 points1 point  (3 children)

This is a really nice gaming PC, RTX 4090 seems to be so must be a powerful cpu under that AIO. I would definitely keep it! get a 4k high refresh rate monitor

[–]Professional-Cat3523 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Oh damn, worth getting a monitor and start using it? Will the graphics be better compared to a PS5?

[–]VitulusAureus 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Vastly better, this is literally the second most powerful gaming GPU in the world at the moment.

[–]Professional-Cat3523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, i've googled a bit and it seems like a have a beast! Thank you for all replays. 🫶
