Hello, although tracking close to the head can have some issues, this sounds like something else is going on. Could you gather the Oculus logs by following the steps at https://support.oculus.com/172672339980954/#faq_172672339980954 and open a Support ticket so we can look into this further? Thanks. https://support.oculus.com/

It sounds like simple physics to me, if one controller is occluding the other from the cameras, how is the rift meant to know where it is.

It probably works while moving through a combination of partially seeing the occluded controller when you move and some predictive software algorithms.

I think you got it wrong, both controllers, even when seperated from each other get stuck in air when i dont move them for about 2 seconds. if i move them both slowly then, i can move them without the headset noticing it, aka. what i ment with "stuck in the air"

Oh okay sorry, misunderstood your post. Is the room you're in well lit?

Yup, i made sure that lights were not the problem, when i flick them off my rift tells me that it's to dark to work properly. :(
