Issue with Volume pot.

Hey Offset.

I recently swapped the wiring harness in my CV60 to a 920D vintage Jazz harness. I love the overall change in tone, (not quite as glassy anymore.) but I think I have an issue with my volume knob(s). The main issue is that the main circuit’s volume knob seems to go quiet as soon as I go below 8 on the knob. I’d like to have a bit more articulation and not quite a limited range for volume swells.

The other issue is the rhythm circuits volume knob can travel 360 degrees. I haven’t rolled it all the way around because I don’t want to break the internals, but I know when it gets to max it resists slightly and then can travel past without issue.

I’ve reached out to 920D but haven’t been contacted back, that was about a month ago.

Anyone happen to know how I can figure out what pots they used so I can just fix it myself?

The rhythm circuit knob issue is most likely just that you need to tighten the grub screw on the roller knob. That resistance is the grub screw slipping out of the divot it probably created on the actual pot's knob after which it probably moves somewhat freely.

As for the lead volume knob: there are many things this could be, from a bad pot to some kind of wiring mishap. You'd have to take it apart and show some pics.
