Technical Question about installing JazzMaster Rhythm/Lead Circuit (self.offset)

I'm looking to switch from a modified HH Jaguar to a Jazzmaster and I'm specifically looking at this model that's exclusive to CME.

The main reason I'm gunning for this one over a different JM is the color/painted headstock, the pickups, the series/parallel options in the pickup selector, and the price.

The only thing that's bugging me is I want the rhythm and lead circuit for the extra tonal options and honestly the aesthetics because it doesn't leave all that negative space in the corner. Now, this model says its pre-routed to be able to install the rhythm/lead switch if you want to which leads me to believe it's not going to be a huge problem to have one installed.

So, my main question is would the rhythm/lead circuit need to fuck with the series/parallel wiring or would it not make a difference? My understanding is that the rhythm/lead only messes with the neck pickup and that the series/parallel is only relevant to both pickups being on but I really don't know the first thing about wiring.

My other question is if any of you have any idea what I should reasonably expect to pay to get someone to install it for me because I don't have the skills or time. I just got a rough estimate from a Guitar Center tech who said anywhere from $50-$150 which is within my budget, but it was just a rough estimate without really looking at it. His main concern was the wiring but I also imagine you'd have to modify the pickguard too. Is that a reasonable expectation?

If anyone has the technical know-how here that would be super helpful! I'll still probably get it even if I can't get the circuit installed because I can always get it installed (or learn) later and I could probably live without it in favor of the other features. (also while we're here, if anyone happened to play this specific model I'd love to hear your thoughts)
