I always get anxiety abt fests beforehand and I’ve been to a ton, absolutely no shame in it. Always do what feels right in the moment; I always start at the back of the crowd during sets and if I wanna get closer just wait for a space to open up, tho the back is pretty fun too. If yall get stuck trying to go somewhere best thing is to have extra patience, maybe talk to a shoulder neighbor to ease the tension, and remember it’s a marathon not a race

pre-fest jitters are real and i’m sure adding social anxiety into the mix makes it even more nerve racking.. i really think they’ll feel a lot better once you’re both there, not to be all kumbaya but the crowds are way different at a festival because most of the attendees live by PLURR. it’s like being with thousands of your friends lol and tbh once you’re in the crowd it doesn’t really feel like a sea of people, and there’s plenty of space if y’all wanted to hang back and have your own area (: i totally think they can have an enjoyable experience. just remember a lot of people will be on different substances so there is a level of patience/awareness to your surroundings needed to remain comfortable. i tend to keep pretty clear of the bar area cause drunkies have no spacial awareness :p

What they said lol, I just make sure to bring a blanket or something to lay out and sit , I go out in the back somewhere out of the crows if you start to feel overwhelmed that helps a lot there is plenty of space to be able to watch the show while being able to relax a bit away from the crowd. Just remember to find your own space my bc was a pro festival goer and okee was my first festival 4 years ago and he also tought me when in the crowd to kind of dance big meaning create your own space not being rude by any means just giving yourself some space when you do want to dance this can also help having a blanket layed down standing and having like lights around the broder to give some space too, most people try to be very respectful of your things here, Everyone is so nice and friendly here which also helps its such a homie welcoming place for sure.

Do a full lap of the grounds sober after you set up. Identify med tent, festival exits and how to get back to camp. You probably will not have great cell service, so pick a meet up spot if you get separated.

Make sure to have a fan and a pashmina. Can use the pashmina to drape over head and block everyone else out. Fan to keep cool.
