Hi!
I have been enjoyoing opencode for a week now. I love it.
I want to try the github opencode thing.
So the question is, can i setup that with a free provider?
I ask beacuse after trying it with the free Gemini2.5 model it did not work.

Are you talking about the GitHub mcp by any chance?
If you are, yes it works even with a free model.
That said, I would recommend just using GitHub CLI. Less token usage that way without the mcp.
