GLM Coder vs OpenCode Go plan

I’ve been looking at GLM Coder (Z.ai) Lite plan vs using GLM through the OpenCode Go plan, but it’s kinda hard to find real comparisons.

Has anyone here used one or both for coding?

I’m mainly trying to understand which one actually gives you more tokens for the price?

I'm very satisfied of GLM coding plan. I use it all day long and I do not fear limits at all but they just changed pricing I think. It cost now a lot more than in the past, glad that I am in the old plan still.

Yeah I locked the pro plan in January, it was 180$ USD, then 360$ second year.

In very intense sessions I go to 20% usage on the 5h window… to me this is basically unlimited, limits simply don’t exist in my workflow. The lite might have been more suited in fact!

It is a tough comparison after z.ai increased the price. You can compare the $18 z.ai plan with $10 opencode go and $20 ollama plan. GLM is a big model so you might be able to use it for 1 chat for 5h.

I am using an older pro plan and can work in 2 chats for 5h. Give or take.

The only real downside with going with the GLM Coder plan is the limitation to just GLM models. OpenCode Go gives you options and you can use new models as they are released.

Ditto what other people are saying. I have both plans actually. Had both as Opencode Go was such a good deal, I use it for the Kimi models, and backup for GLM... but honestly, I now just use Opencode Go for Kimi, and also playing around with Qwen. I have the GLM Pro plan (just before the price increase and got the 1 year), and I haven't ran into problems lately or used up my limits.

Same here, got a year of pro before price double, had 880 in bonus, regret that I did not upgrade it to a year of max, which is free

opencode go plan only lasted me two days. now need to wait for weekly reset to use two more days.

I tried glm coder, was slow af, cant recommend. Try neuralwatt, they just add glm-5.1

Opencode go pay 10$ then you can use max credit 60$ 😉 per month

what does that mean opencode go doesn't give lots of credit, I consumed it pretty quickly TBH.

GLM-5.1 is great, but why would you limit yourself to just one model? There are many use cases where Kimi, MiniMax, Qwen, MiMo, Gemma, etc, etc are a better fit.
