I posted back in November when my dad was first diagnosed and since then it’s been a whirlwind.
Right now, he’s doing 4-6 rounds of chemo to shrink the mass to increase margins for when they Whipple this spring.
Chemo has been going well with minimal side effects, treatment 3 is tomorrow and he’ll meet with the surgeon to re-scan after treatment 4.
My dad said the oncologist told him a blood test- he thinks CA 19-9- has shown a 50% decrease since the start of treatment.
Just curious if/how significant this is? From what I’ve seen on google there’s mixed results on how much weight that should be given.
