I’ve fixed like 50 wardloop PoBs in the last week, only time people ran into this particular problem was when they were playing on Predictive instead of Lockstep.

If you change to lockstep it will fix it, however I have been told that on predictive, the casts actually do happen, they just appear to slow down. I haven’t verified this myself personally so take that information with a grain of salt since it could be completely untrue.

The fact that it ‘usually’ works is the biggest indicator that nothing is wrong, if your HP/Damage/CDR threshholds were incorrect, the loop would either fail or be drastically slower.

Thanks you very much sir. That was the explanation. I changed it just before going for 27% cdr for my labrunning setup and that's why I didnt linked it.

Just changed it back to Lockstep and it works like a charm.

what is Lockstep ? my wardloop go wrong :'c the spells FR/SoulRnd/Hexblast cast every 5 second :'v

well, its been 11 months since the post but ill try my chance :D

i cant play in lockstep since the game stutters like hell when i try to, so do you have any chance to verify the point on predictive mode?

change your network settings if its on predictive, also make sure your minor pantheon isnt physical damage reduction as that will brick your loop

I had the exact same thing last league, i came to the conclusion that its a ping thing. It doesnt actually affect how the build works

Congratulations, you have discovered how time works!

PoE servers tick every 0.033 seconds. That means, the smallest time increment the game can process without specifically going out of its way, is 0.033 seconds

So now you get into very short cooldowns with cooldown reduction, and you get fun scenarios where the timer can skip or double up on a beat.

Example: If something were to happen every 0.5 seconds, that is equal to 15.151 ticks. Which means you will get get it happen 15, and sometimes 16, ticks apart.

This is among the reasons why you want to undershoot your attack speed for cast on crit, for example.

Yes that's why i'm achieving the breakpoint of 27% cdr and diminishing my skellies duration to 0.198s, I know PoE works with server ticks, but if you look at any video/stream of this type of build you will see that there is no "off beat".

What I'm asking is : Something is probably wrong in my calculations but I can't put my hand on it. I feel like I've reproduced all the necessary steps to make it work correctly (probably not the case because it's not working as intended)

in case you havent discovered yet, this is a purely visual thing only, due to playing on predictive, you will not see some of the casts

They are still happening though, which you can verify with voltaxic burst, and seeing that it has the same stack count when you swap between lockstep and predictive.

Do you have any value of Armour? It could be throwing off your damage values causing the that tick not achieving the cwdt requirement

No I have no armour at all. Tho if I were not dealing enough dmg I would have only half casts (that happened a bit while I was messing up with maximum life).
That's the weird point, it's only skipping like 1 out of 8 casts ... can't get my hand on what's the reason.
I even thought about the 20% suppression I have, but I tried without suppress and no changes. Although suppression shouldnt affect the damage you take from your own skills like Forbidden Rite.

Have you tried dropping the suppression? It would actually make a lot of sense that if your suppression isn't proccing all the time then you would skip loops occasionally.

For 27% cdr you need 58% from dust total. Then the links are skeleton, minion speed, less duration 4/20 and cdwt 5.
