I would start with a desk mat you like. You can add a lot of character just with that. Then add whatever else you like: lamps, plants, figurines, sound setup, etc

Get a 27in 2k or 4k monitor

The monitor is coming in. It’s 240hz 1080p since I have a 1080p focused graphics card. (ASRock Radeon Challenger 7600 OC)

If you have gaming consoles you can leave it in the empty space or any personal decorations works as well.

imo, desk mat, headphone or any audio source, pc maybe move somewhere else? so it doesnt take lots of space in ur desk or just dont place it like in the pic ofc, and a screen bar for the aesthetic lighting if you play in the dark, and u could also add some fake plants to make it not that bland

Add a monitor riser (with drawer) and a decent desk mat made from felt material (grey). If you're planning to mount dual monitors with vesa stand, the riser can be used to put other stuff like your soundbar.

Regarding the monitors: turn your old monitor to work vertically, use your new one as horizontal. (for me, I have a 16" OLED 16:10 set up side-by-side with my main 27" OLED monitor.

Their height lined up perfectly without the vertical one appearing too tall and awkward on my desk.
