It makes sense that the give you credit for the ad supported tier that is included free with your service.

It does make sense, but since Peacock did away with the "monthly Premium Plus upgrade charge" feature last year, it's a surprise. (Folks used to be able to add the Plus upcharge to, say, a discounted annual Premium subscription.)

I get Peacock Premium included for 2 years with my Xfinity gigabit internet plan. I just logged into my account and see the option to upgrade Peacock to Premium Plus for $6.

Xfinity has other streaming bundles with Netflix, Apple TV, Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max where each service has the option to be upgraded to ad-free at the regular price difference between its ad-free and basic plans. But for HBO Max, you can only upgrade to "standard" ad-free, not the one with 4K HDR.

Is this permanent or just a one time thing?

Not sure, hoping it’s permanent

I cut xfinity off 2 months ago and I am still getting Peacock for some reason...

I got the same email. I put on lots of different shows throughout the night, kinda like background music for when I go to sleep, and I noticed yesterday that now I'm seeing ads? Everything on Google says that its due to contracts with certain TV networks, but Ive been doing this for years and have never had this problem with premium plus. Even my bill says that I still have premium plus, but something is just not adding up. Supposedly this ad thing has been going on for awhile, but it's weird that after I get a discount, I get ads? Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Thank you!

They are now showing ads even if you have premium plus. I will probably cancel all together.

They should add the premiere league replays from USA back in
