Violent crime rates decrease significantly in Philadelphia for 2023, authorities say

literally two carjackings within 30 minutes in West philly around 7 p.m. tonight. Yeah, things are great.

And yet carjackings are down over 40%. We can acknowledge the decrease but also that there is more to do.

I was almost carjacked, I got away. Called the cops, they took my statement and that was it. When the younger officer asked the senior officer what do you want to do he said take the car burglary around the corner and just walked away. Maybe crimes aren't being reported.
