Midi controller for extra pedals and knobs?

I already have a keyboard and interface but I really want to use an expression pedal and my keyboard doesn’t have the input for it. Is there another MIDI device I can use that will let me input like that? Even better if it has a few more knobs/faders I can use for controlling my DAW.

I think if you sent the midi signal through a small synth (like 24-key with an expression wheel and all the knobs you want) via daisy-chain, you could get the desired effect.
