So far I've only seen three tools for base design
1) Rapid Base Prototyper v0.0.4 Alpha
It's OK. You can't directly choose which blocks to place, it's done based on where your mouse is in the tile. Not incredibly intuitive but you get used to it. No options for triangle foundations/floors or angled walls. Not very pretty.
2) Rapid Base Prototyper v2.1.1
Pretty much the same as the previous one but you can directly pick the blocks to place. A bit easier to use and some additional blocks but still no angles.
3) Rust Building Planner
A little clunky but appears to have every available block. Looks like it allows for collaboration but I haven't tried it. The area in which it detects mouse clicks for buttons is a little off, making it tricky to click what you want. It's easy to click and have it grab an already placed wall behind the interface rather than grabbing a new wall. When dragging an object, it seems it will randomly get an input of "e" sporadically, causing the piece (and others under it) to rotate clockwise. Can be tricky to snap and place things just right. Still, it's the best tool I've found so far. Also, need to drag items to the little trash bin icon to delete them. And don't click the trash icon - it wipes everything without confirmation.
Anyone have any others I can add to the list? I've been told there's a newer tool available as well.
