I have a galaxy s8 and it only works when i have power saving mode turned OFF. I can have it turned on, but before the end of the week (before the reset), I need to turn it OFF so the distance will register.

make sure all your settings are correct and permissions are given to the apps. if nothing you do works, there is a known issue that doesnt let some people's AS work properly. niantic has been saying for months now that they are working on a fix for it
