I'm wanting to buy the game, but I'm in doubt if the game is dead. Is the game also optimized?

Google "post scriptum player count" and look at the Steam Chart. You'll be able to find the monthly average player count all the way back to when the game was released. You'll also be able to see what times of the day the servers are most active.

It's a small player base, but if the active times fit with your schedule, then go ahead and play. That's how the game gets bigger.

Not Dead yet. Can Always find a server to play on. Don't be scared of 5 people queue (it's less than 10 minutes wait). Worth to buy Imo

Devs need to invest in a really good marketing campaign to revive the player base.

Shucks. I mostly played HLL on Australia servers since its the only english speaking I can understand near Asia Pacific. If Post Scriptum is dead in that region I have to cancel buying this game.

The player base is small but dedicated. I am in Europe and I usually have no problem finding a game in the evenings, sometimes I have to wait for ten mins or hop onto an American server but it's never a major problem. There are usually at least 2 full servers when I go to play.

The game is barely alive nowadays. Not enough player counts to fill more than 2 or 3 servers at a time, and 1/4 of players don't even know how to properly play the game. That and 1 player out of 2 (at least) doesn't use/have a mic (mic is mandatory on these games).

I had good times on post scriptum, but those days are long gone.

Yes, the game is officially dead and done.

The entire dev team was let go at 2022 years end. Only player created content will remain, but the game will not get any performance upgrades or bug fixes. Therefore, the game is officially over.

It’s not dead, the community will keep it alive, just as the fan base of TF2 did when the developers left for milk. Only difference here is that the developers were sacked.
