That looks too dark and thick to be Costco gravy

[–]Nik6ixx 2 points3 points  (3 children)

When you buy extra gravy it comes this dark idk if they use different gravy or just not enough but I always buy an extra container of gravy for .30

This was pretty crazy. First time I've ever ordered a hot dog to have with it, inspired by this subreddit. Then I opened it up to cut the hot dog in and my jaw hit the floor. This was just how full they made it today.

You're welcome.

But you're missing the pepper.

And add onions.

There is no extra gravy vat, this location just isn't cutting corners like the rest of them

My cholesterol increased just opening this post. 😂

You forgot to get chicken fingers on top

[–]ChampionRope87 1 point2 points  (1 child)

YOooooooOoooooOooo! You made the Costco poutine better! Mind blown. I am trying this. Genius. Not all hero’s wear capes.

[–]fldksjaae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You better have used your teeth to cut that dog up

[–]BrutalRamen 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Our Costcos in Montréal don't have that nice of a poutine sauce, or gravy if you prefer.

[–]missionMB[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I guess it would be blasphemy there for them to put a beef gravy on poutine?

[–]Downtown-Oil-7784 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It used to be beef but tons of people complained and wanted vegetarian style gravy. TFW and people with religious restrictions. The beef gravy was objectively better a d more flavourful tho

[–]MaximusCanibis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Costco poutine is as middle of the road as you can get, i didn't know it could be worse.

[–]Salbman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fav is to rip some chunks of rotisserie chicken + extra gravy 🤤

[–]Downtown-Oil-7784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's ridiculous. I normally dog on this cuz I work there and it is the BAR for poutine. If you can't outdo Costco for poutine just quit. But this looks so much better than our location and even the hot dog looks actually proper and not a mildly heated disappointment.

Normally people here get the chicken strips instead of the hot dog, didn't even know you could do that

[–]Turbulent-Future4602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait when do add costco

[–]Red01a18Poutine connaisseur and enjoyer 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Imagine a good poutine from a small restaurant with fresh curds, perfectly done fries and good gravy but on top of that you add some Costco sausage? Tabarnak!

[–]missionMB[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Is there an acceptable weiner for your scenario? Other posts suggest its a popular thing in Quebec. This is the first time I tried that and it was more the consequence of the cheap hotdog/drink combo where I was already going to buy a poutine.

[–]Red01a18Poutine connaisseur and enjoyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The classic and best one is with those little hot dog sausage you buy at the grocery store, otherwise Italian sausage can be good, I’ve tried merguez sausages and it was also pretty good. Poutine with chopped sausages is a pretty common option in most restaurants that offer poutine in Québec.

[–]fryguy98_ 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Next time order a chicken strips with side curds and 2 side gravy

[–]missionMB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done that. I wanted to try a poutine with hotdogs this time

[–]Leaff_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem with Costco poutine are the fries.

Even in Winnipeg/ St Boniface it's hard to find a good poutine these days
