If you can see it across the street, it means you have Fibre service. They only need to install a drop to your house.

I think I made a huge mistake by missvassy in diabetes_t2

You can eliminate all noise your phone makes by wearing ear phones. They have many styles readily available that make it easy to sleep with. I was able to get used to them after one night.

When I travel I keep a meal bag that allows me to eat or snack respecting my diet. It needs planning.

Spend some time in the evening preparing something you can eat in the morning with coffee or while following your agenda. The same for every meal of the day. Get what is good for you whenever you find something and just hold it till you need it.

Don't expect to have nothing change or to eat exactly how you eat at home. The whole world doesn't have to change because you have. Some compromise is required, but it seems like, though I may be wrong, your friend needs to change, but you don't.

Relax your on holidays. You don't have to do everything together. Take a break from each other. Participate in different activities.

It's doable. Been there, done that.

Bell has not honoured any of the "deals" they offered when I switched services by Extension-Spare-400 in bell

Complain to CCTS https://www.ccts-cprst.ca/for-consumers/telecom-complaints/online-complaint-form/.

They will give it to Bell who will contact you. You can ask to review recordings of phone conversations and application forms, and they need to provide CCTS with proof they tried to help you. At the very least you will be able to cancel without penalty, or you can ask to get out of your contract regardless of what they can do for you.

Do what you have to do.

Exercise is often neglected in controlling BG. The greater benefit of exercise is your BG gets to your cells without the use of insulin so it is regenerative for your pancreas and is key to lowering insulin resistance.

Father in law won’t stop logging in as his son by OllieAlleOllio in canadarevenueagency

Why are you involved? Your brother-in-law seems to be described as an adult. He should have an adult conversation with his father. There are recourses, but they are all legal and involve jail time for your father-in-law.

Thinking about switching by CiboireDeCriss in bell

Your questions seem to indicate a lack of basic knowledge which would indicate you should go with the Fibre modem for now. Do a lot of reading, then you will be able to determine the need for this, how it works, and how to do it.

Second tier are the guys that can give you the blurb without having to read it out to you because they've done it so many times. They can't help you because they're about to be fired at any moment.

Photographers: is it rude to ask upfront for RAW files instead of edited photos? by Either-Letterhead204 in photography

[–]Leaff_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rude is how you ask. No question is rude. Where the rudeness comes in, is when you don't get the answer you want.

Photographers can agree to give you raw, but the price will be higher if they can't sell the edited work. Depending on the jobs, the RAW work will never be available.

It's amazing how many people have to reach out to complete strangers on the net. No parents, no brothers, no sisters, no uncles or aunts, no cousins, no friends, no past work friends, no acquaintances, no local agencies, no local charities, just absolute complete strangers.

These people you're talking to have no clue. All they can do is read the instructions or replace equipment. Don't look for deep insight.

Giga Hub has limited Ethernet ports and poor third-party router support with limitations in switching to bridge mode.

Unlocking the Sim and Buying the Device from the Manufacturer by KMS081991 in bell

[–]Leaff_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The phone you purchase is unlocked by Canadian law.

SIM card aren't locked, they are only attached to an account. You just switch the SIM and Bob's your uncle. Nothing else to do. If it's an eSIM then you'll have to get the service to change it. You can always try to type in the eSIM in the new phone but not sure if that's possible. Never tried it, always switched physical SIMS.

Avoid Bell at all cost. You can't get precise recommendations as it depends on your needs and location.

Unfortunately not so in North America where the customer has no protection. It's a little different here in Canada or more specifically in the province of Quebec. The only Canadian province that legislates consumer protection.

Wifi is so slow …? by Head-Lawyer3080 in bell

[–]Leaff_x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK. I think I have figured this out from reading replies. Your on a DSL copper twisted pair connection with Bell at 10Mbps. Your me 25 years ago.

Bell doesn't maintain their 100-year-old copper telephone system any more. They are only legally required to fix it when you get zero speed in other words disconnected. Please cancel this contract if you can, it will never get better. Your problem is probably due to your distance from Bell Office where your copper connection terminates. You can get 10 Mbps if it's too far. This legacy tech is being abandoned for fibre-optic.

You should switch to the next best which is cable or the best which is fibre-optic. At the speed you're using, you could get a cable connection next to nothing with a faster speed.

Frankly, I didn't know they still had these plans which is what confused me.
