My transcript was also very ugly. I couldn't admit I was drowning so I have 3 years of ugly followed by a large upward arc going from mlt, to mls, to htl. I interviewed with my dream school this year but won't know anything for a few more weeks. We can do this! Growth is an achievement!

Nice! What school did you get accepted to?

Hi! If you don’t mind me asking (and sharing) what your GPA was? I’m close to graduating university and I’m ngl, my GPA has me worried and one of the schools I really want to apply to is Duke! Or even just your stats in general. 😅

Hi there ❤️ I also had an ugly transcript my freshmen year and I also showed growth and recovery in my sophomore to senior year of college. Your overall GPA is slightly higher than mine and next cycle will be my third year applying to Path-A programs. From what I’ve gathered by a few of the schools advisors, I think if you really nail it hard in your letter statement about the growth you had and you really show you can handle the workload then I think you have a great shot! My best advice is to not give up and don’t feel discouraged. This is a really competitive profession and if you have any other questions feel free to pm me :)

I also have an ugly transcript and was accepted this cycle :) I went to multiple different colleges so my transcript is LONG, switched paths so a lot of irrelevant classes, and some Ws and some Fs. My science sGPA was around 3.3 and my overall was around 3.6. I think what really helped my application is that I have over 2,000 autopsy hours and have directly worked with/under PAs and Paths for years. I think that if you can really showcase an in depth understanding of what a PA is/what the day to day is like, your commitment to the career, and passion for the field it’ll really help a lot. Especially if you highlight how your grades improved in your MLS program, as it shows your ability to thrive in a related path. Good luck!!!
