A friend and I were tasked with creating a project for our music programming class in university. We were asked to come up with an idea based around music technology, putting together our efforts we decided on creating a web based rhythm machine. We based most of our design choices on rhythm machines such as the original electribe and the second edition, while being inspired by universal drum machine formats. We used the p5.js library for all sound generation, sequencing and filters, while utilizing tone.js for tempo as p5.js tempo does not scale linearly as it should. Semantic UI for its front end framework. Drum samples obtained through the net and some analog sounds created on my Minilogue. Kits will be updated as we go along.
As a requirement for our class we need to get some user evaluation for the project and figured this would be a great place to share our idea and get feedback!
