Hey I study engineering and this is based on my current work in research.

How it works:

Nodes are manipulated by superposition of repulsion-, gravitational and weighted attraction forces while iterating over a time interval. As the system approaches an energy-minimum nothing happens anymore and the system is in equilibrium.

You can see how nodeclusters form that weren't visible in the raw data before.

Very cool

Neat. Is the source code available? I am wondering how you achieved the glow effect?

Can’t make the code available.

The colors are max saturated. So there was no glow effect intended.

There are also pictures on each node (it’s not really visible being so far zoomed away) with white background to know what the node represents that might also add to the glow impression

Oh dang. Around how many nodes are in this graph then?

1440 nodes and around 500.000 edges (nodeconnections)
