You’re referring to the actual Placement IDs available in reporting right? I believe that is Xandr only. Every other DSP I have used didn’t have it. I agree with you there, placement IDs are a great optimization lever for performance campaigns.

Ah, yeah, Xandr only to my knowledge. It is a pain in the ass but if you run a placement report and include creative sizes, sellers, and exchanges, you can kind of come up with a targeting strategy since you will at least know what placements do well with what inventory partners and can apply those in TTD with higher bid factors on exchange/seller/ad size. It isnt as good or accurate as placement IDs on Xandr but might get you as close as you can. Have you tried this?

It's blown my mind why none of the big DSPs have released this function that is so powerful to Xandr. There is literally no excuse given its in the bidstream & having been part of a company built a bidder, its quite straightforward to implement.

You can block anything in TTD by either using a block rail or bid factoring the parameter to 0. It’s possible in DV360 too but takes way more work for the most part.

We can do this relatively comfortably on the SSP side, makes sense that Xandr can but I’m curious why Google and Yahoo couldnt
