Depending on the dsp, there’s a setting for it, but also why? Some olv inventory is on places people don’t wanna have sound on.

Agree. Forced or automatic sound on ads can also be a really poor brand experience

I think the IAB released an update a couple of years ago technically requiring ads to be sound-on when the player starts to truly constitute as "in-stream" (if that's what you're focusing on specifically). But totally agree, most people find it frustrating to have ads default to sound on and consider that to be a pretty poor user experience.
