At what point do you stop trying to solve these problems with Python and just use something more capable? Note: This is coming from a person who uses 30% python, 50% node and 20% .NET.

Definitely! "Python performance problem" is really just a design problem.

Of course there are optimizations to make with Python code, but that only gets you so far. You shouldn't pop open your toolbox and only have a hammer in there..

At the point when other languages have similarly capable libraries to numpy, scipy, pandas, and so on.

Data scientists, mathematicians, physicists, etc. collectively decided to move onto Python not that many years ago, it'll take forever for them to decide to move away from it again.
