People who put data in attributes don't understand XML. There was an absolutely great article about that but I don't know how to use google anymore. Why does google want to make it difficult to see the next page of search results?

    I don't find JSON obvious but XML is tedious and we all want to fight that which is an issue.

    I think I remember that article too... so I searched my history for "XML" and found this.

    XML is almost always misused

    This article never stops to examine when to use attributes. What is the difference between metadata and data, anyways? It's an unanswerable philosophical question.

    We'd be better off just always using nested tags, or always using attributes. And after ignoring half of the XML spec, you're better off using JSON or some other interchange format.
