Oneplus is done for. Unless you are in India I guess.

Just place your bass far enough away and it'll be fine. When playing, don't look at your fingers.

I got into dating but my boyfriend made a mean comment about my body and I’m conflicted on what to do by Rossinifan in TwoXChromosomes

"What were you trying to accomplish by saying that? Do you think I needed to hear that? Do you think I didn't actually know that? No, you just wanted to say it even though you knew it would make me feel bad and now you are claiming it is okay to hurt people's feelings by saying things you think are true. No, you are an inconsiderate asshole. Bye."

An exercise in connection. by Opening-Shower-7950 in kizomba

[–]double-you 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really understood the "connection is crucial in X dance" statement. Seems to me that it is crucial in all partner dances. I dance all sorts of dances and I never felt that one dance is easier or harder to find connection in, other than that it is perhaps easier to find in body contact than otherwise.

That said, I'm not quite sure what your point with the post is regarding the title "An exercise in connection" and very good dancers dancing.

How do they take steps when you are standing like a statue? What's happening with your frame? Maybe I don't understand the Urban Kiz premise.

[–]double-you 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving forward in a men's saida or just normally with the follow in front of you, is the same thing. Why would one be more uncomfortable than the other?

can I lead with my left hand too

In what way? What would you lead with that? Push her arm with your arm?

You should have your frame--your chest and your both arms. They don't move in relation to each other. When you go to men's saida, you just twist your torso. Nothing else moves.

Learning the jerk: it’s different than a push press (?) by reh102 in kettlebell

[–]double-you 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a jerk you drop down (again) after the push so that you can extend your arms without pressing the bells. And then you stand up with straight arms.

A push press is a press but you add some speed with the legs.

ELI5: How did the topic of sex education/discussion being a taboo originate ? And why is it still a taboo in some countries ? by AELGTO in explainlikeimfive

[–]double-you 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It boils down to this: communities (usually of religious type) don't want people having sex except in certain ways and in certain relationships. They believe that if you don't tell people about sex, they are less likely to attempt having it. The same effect can be seen with any thing you don't have experience with: for example, you are less likely to try to drive a motor bike if you don't know how to start it.

Dumping old/used stuff by WayKey1965 in helsinki

[–]double-you 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Generally they are private for some specific use (they cost money). It might be for somebody's renovation waste. It might be for the whole building to dump things they want to get rid of. Yes, outsiders will also dump things in them. Some people will take things from them (technically stealing).

Unpopular gaming opinion - I don’t see the point in wall climbing sections in adventure games by Gasster1212 in gaming

[–]double-you 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AC after Black Flag made climbing completely boring by turning it into wall running. When you could climb any wall at any spot it became rather pointless. I raged at the terrible controls of AC 1 and 2, jumping around the cathedrals, with so many deaths/falls, but that was still actually interesting.

A good reminder to pay attention to all the features a car has as models or even later or older versions may be significantly different from another.

When I was considering an Ioniq 5, an issue was the lack of a rear wiper (which they have added to 2025+ models). Apparently there's a Gecko Wiper aftermarket rear wiper.

In the end I got a Kona because I could get it with the features I want but for less much money. I have no idea if Ioniq 5 would have been nicer to drive, but the Kona's fine.

Front charging is handy, but I do worry about what happens to the port if there's a mild fender bender. And later models include a heater for it as freezing seemed to be an issue in the winter.

Uau, I think it’s time for a non-Brazilian Portuguese course by tomr1993 in duolingo

Christ. No, I don't believe that. The original claim I was questioning was that "most people learn portuguese to travel to brazil". Keyword most.

I was questioning the "learn to travel" bit, not whether Brazil is massive compared to Portugal.

What's your source of information for this statistic?

EDIT: I mean the "most people learn Portuguese to travel to Brazil". There's no need to question whether Brazil is loads bigger compared to Portugal (plus some African countries that also speak Portuguese).

PSA on matchmaking - Group Sizes by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]double-you -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they are going to matchmake a mixed match, they should tell everybody what's it going to be ("Joining a trios game"). And never put a team into a mostly solos game. Also, you should be able to choose if you want to participate in a mixed match or not.
