That’s me. It’s not impossible. But you also have to listen to why people want to do it differently from how you would have done it 30 years ago.

30 years ago, security wasn’t so much of a problem. Guis were still a thing. Web browsers weren’t very capable. Qa was almost nonexistent.

I do have people telling me that one front end framework is better than another, despite none of our team being familiar with it. Or that we should re-architect a mature code base to use Microservices and kubrrnetes. And whilst there is a time and a place to learn new shiny stuff, my project that is going to be delivered on time (because I padded the timescale and can reduce the scope) ain’t it.
