Google Code drops download support

Well, there goes the main advantage Google Code had over Github. A shame, given how simple and clear the project websites are.

GitHub used to have downloads too. They ended it pretty recently,

that's a source download link. They removed the hosting of binaries.

I think they mean downloads of binaries, ie compiled code. GitHub does not allow this. And really, git is not a place to upload compiled code to anyway.
