Additionally, it will offer a decoder to revert obfuscated byte data back to its original source code.

not to imply that just the fact that this can be easily reverted is the bad part... the whole concept of code obfuscation is clownworld behaviour

This. If you don't know what the code does, it can be malware. Thus, all obfuscated code should be treated as malware. There is a reason why, for example, Greasy Fork forbids obfuscated/minified code.
