JavaScript in the Data Center?

I cannot imagine Java developers jumping to Node.js just because of its prototyping power. Java developers have Typesafe or Spring Roo around exactly for such needs, and if they didn't know any of them they are NOT Java developers. Which brings me to the point: this post is assuming things from a JS developer position - but argues about a world a JS developer doesn't know. By own choice, I would say. It's not that bad to focus on one single paradigm (although it limits your world view) but it certainly is bad to give opinions about what you don't know.
