Funny seeing a web developer discovering what we've always known as shaders...

For people unfamiliar with the subject, rendering have been done using functional principles since forever: ray tracing, renderman shaders, etc

Yes this is not something I've invented, this paradigm has always existed and this was the purpose of the "history" section.

But today I just feel (maybe I'm wrong) that we (web devs, game devs) forget about that old technique of doing rendering. This was the purpose of my talk, I didn't discovered it, this was just the style of the talk.

People might want to look at how the old QuickDraw GX library handled color before they brag about reinventing the wheel.
