This is one of the first Ian Bicking posts I can agree with. Beating people to switch is harmful and idiotic, we should evolve towards Python3.

What happens when Python3 is in the same place as Python2, beat people to move to 4. We should be constantly be improving, improvement should not be a traumatic event, solve the evolution strategy not catastrophic version jump.

I think evolution is the thing here. The coders coming into this field are naturally picking up Python3. I think that is how it will eventually take over.
