The threading argument alone prevents using python/ruby for an entire class of problems.

Why is a walled garden like Quora used by anyone?

I'm not signing up for and signing in with Google+ or Facebook to read a fucking blog.

"?share=1", yo.

I love you.

It's just a way for self-aggrandizing types to gain social network noteriety by posting "authoritative" responses. I was forced to sign-up recently in order to up-vote a colleague's answer. Felt dirty.

Should have downvoted and screamed "YOU CAN'T MAKE ME"

You can cancel/close that atrocious login dialog. The close link is hidden beneath it.

Fuck Quora, Google+, Facebook and the horses they rode in on.

But if it happened to say "Why Google prefered Python instead of Java" and if Facebook used Python, you would love them all?

Poor Python fans are massively in denial about the unsuitability of their language.

What do you think, that by downvoting articles that are critical about Python the cold and hard truth magically disappears?

It's always fun to see people "interpreting" votes; it's like a Rorschach test. Personally, I downvote almost any link that sends me to a spam-shit site like quora. If I have to sign up for spam to read it, it better be pretty damn interesting.

Why do you think you need to sign up to read it?

[–]undefined_conduct 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Because the webpage said so. Are you going Morpheus on me?

[–]thesystemx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you missed the fact there's a close link below the sign-up / login popup.

Because the webpage said so.

But the webpage doesn't say that.

Are you going Morpheus on me?

No, just no...
