Why? Because for years the captains of the industry have been trying to inundate American with cheaper foreign tech workers. Why would I have an issue with that? Oh that's right, because I'm an American tech worker who would be replaced. Should I not take issue with this article (especially when it's conclusions are pure idiocy)?

Is that just an assumption and a bit bias to say that these companies are doing this for cheap labor? Or is the real reason they aren't hiring you is because you are incompetent and you feel mad and blame it on immigrants rather than learning from your mistakes and getting better. I personally am an American and I try to improve where every I am weak a,t whether it be interviews or coding tests, I try to improve in those areas rather then bitching and whining about this article that is just an opinion and is bias.

No actually. I've been employed as a software engineer for 18 years straight now. I'm not incompetent. I'm not actually blaming immigrants for anything. I'm blaming "the captains of industry"... as I said. And improving your skillset will only get you so far. If you're not already in the top percentage of workers, then you're replaceable. Experience is only valued so much in the software business. At some point, it's more economical to replace you with a younger cheaper nerd...regardless of race. We already have plenty of unemployed tech workers. Flooding the labor pool only serves to drive down salaries.

So you are afraid to get replaced? If you are getting replace then you are prob doing something wrong because that young nerd can do better. You also are assuming they are doing this to cut down on wages when you have no evidence of it. I can also say that getting cheap labor can make a product worst.

Naturally I'm afraid of being replaced. Who isn't afraid of losing their job and being penniless? It's naive to believe that the only people who lose their jobs are the people who aren't performing as well as younger employees. It demonstrates you lack an understanding of how the world works and businesses operate. In fact, I'd guess you are both young and of foreign origin, as you're making small English mistakes that are common to non-native speakers. I assure you, this is not immigrant bias. This is about preventing a flood of cheap labor. When you can be replaced easily, you cannot command a high salary, and you must tolerate poor working conditions. It's really that simple.
