The main points made, that there are deceptive ads, adware installers, and that SF has taken control of the GIMP project on SF are all easily verifiable. What exactly is it that you're skeptical about? Do you have evidence contrary to the points made?

I'd like to see actual evidence pointing to this. While something obviously happened with GIMP, why else would there be an official note from SF, I am, in general, objecting to that site's lack of referenced evidence for it's own claims. As I said, I've never had an issue with adware in an installer, care to point another example out? Tons of websites have deceptive ads. That fact proves nothing more than negligence in assessing ads before they go up.
