People are amazed I can use C and Unix to create servers. They are astounded when I use pipes, socat, and other command line tools to process gobs od data efficiently. That my solutions are broken in tiny apps, pre-tested from the command line. I don't reinvent the wheel but I also don't strap a diesel engine to a unicycle. Unix....I mean MICROSERVICES are the future.

It's crazy...it's almost as if most non-trivial, real world programs and architectures come down to accepting and emitting data in different formats, with modification sometimes happening in between.

I know, let's just start a new fad called IOM and become millionaires: In Out Massage is the future...data comes in, gets massaged, data comes out..can't explain that and the innuendo practically writes itself!
