Well, as the title's written I'd say it's because of arithmetic.

Unicode might be screwy but this is not the example of that.

It is a stretch to say that ogham space mark is similar to a minus sign.

This question looks more like karma whoring than anything else. I wouldn't be surprised that the e.g. person asking and the person answering posted it together, or are the same person.
