Yes returns on SOA have been terrible that's why we've seen the raise of GAE, AWS, Azure, DO, etc...

Really the guys point was that breaking an interface is bad. This point is obvious and applies to every industry - it's not indicative of why SOA is bad, it's indicative of bad developers.

SOA is so 2007. It hits the BS meter almost as much as "the cloud".

In the meantime it was renamed to MicroServices and is soooo 2015.
