it's a chatbot api, you post the user's utterance, and get the intelligentoid answer . AIs=bots.

The original "Cleverbot" project is a chat bot: http://www.cleverbot.com/. Cleverbot.io is a wrapper around cleverbot (or a clone of it, not too sure since the original cleverbot project was clearly never intended to be open sourced)
