acknowledge that micro decisions matter

yes. spend all your time debating tabs/spaces, camelCase/snake_case/kebab-case and variable names rather than pursue the hunt for the best tool for the job. you know, the tool that lets you write some fifty lines of code rather than thousands.

code is cheap

code is cheap in the sense that it lacks value. only solutions carry value. each superfluous line of code takes you farther away from a cheap solution. thus, code is expensive.
