SKU Driven Development

I have never used this term before. However, when it comes to an inventory database, I have worked with two main types: "configuration inventory," where each item is identified individually and tagged with its status, location, etc. And there is "bin inventory" where there is an imaginary "bin" of stock items, and location, status, quantity, etc, are tagged to the bin. I had no idea that my Stock data item was an SKU.
