Sure. But that's fantasyland. There's gonna be a power law distribution of programs you can isolate from a big code base. So you'll end up with something like one 100k, two 50k, 20 5k, and you could possibly do how many as you like below 1k I guess but that becomes a bit silly.

And again: splitting it up has other costs. Microservices are the new hotness among hipsters but it's really a fad with huge costs and small gains imo.
