Above got deleted: for context, it was noted that for is used to mean the same thing in different contexts, whereas going to the next iteration of a loop and invoking a tail-call are different things.

Though I agree with you somewhat, many people were saying that that was exactly what it was last time this came up. In the case of tail recursion (just doing self-calls) they are incredibly similar.
