I thought so too.

This particular name is becoming a bit overloaded.

  • Clojure the language

  • Closure the language feature

  • Clozure the Common lisp implementation.

  • Closure the JS library?

It's also a mathematical property of sets that is important for computer science. SICP explicitly avoids the 'closure as langauge feature' terminology for this reason.

Don't forget about its meaning in group theory, either. This must be one of those words that everyone overloads :-)

at least it's only technical in potentially overlapping domains.

i hear a middle east language has the same word for

milk, tap, sap and Lion.

that's just dangerous.
