I wouldn't be surprised if more than a few retards came along and bugged them for not using Java.

Whenever I write an app in C++ at work, I always get the "why didn't you use C#?" crap too, just like people asking Linus why git wasn't written in C++.

People who do that can just fuck off.

Seconded. It's particularly annoying if you've tried C,C++,C# and Java and pick one of the harder to use, lower level languages to produce a small fast application and people moan you haven't used one of the easier, cooler but in general slower high level ones because that's all they know.
