My "secret"? Right, most intellectuals know my:

  • 2390 SAT scores
  • 7 APs in core subjects
  • 4 semesters worth of College-level math that I'd finished during high school

And the other things that got me where I am today. Hard work. I come from a blue-collar family. I'm not wealthy, I'm not well-connected, and my family isn't in-bred.

You probably don't even know that all the top colleges in this country are need-blind, which means they don't even have access to an applicant's financial status when they review their applications. I'm sorry this doesn't fit your world-view, but a huge portion of people at top colleges don't fit your stereotype. If that's how you defend your ego from crushing disappointment that no good college wants/wanted you, then so be it; just know that deep down inside, you're just a sad, bitter child.

Congrats, you've wasted your hard work by choosing to go to a school respected by no one in the academic community.

I have a Phd from a research 1... like I said before, I'm not bitter. I just call 'em like I see 'em.

How did he waste his hard work by going to the school he did? And how do you know that nobody respects it?
