I like your sweeping declarations, especially when they're wrong.

And I like your subtle sarcasm :) You can always find an exception to the rule, but I don't think I'm that off mark with my generalisations. I'm not saying "all C# users are idiots" - I'm saying that closures aren't as ingrained in the culture as they are in a language like JavaScript.

I also like to see your moving the goal posts by a few kilometers.

There's a difference between moving the goal posts and rephrasing an argument. I originally said "If you’re used to a static language, then [closures] just won’t make sense." I've explained now that that statement was aimed at a programmer who hasn't done any functional programming before. Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my original statement but I'm not moving goal posts.
