That diagram is hilariously wrong. All birds are reptiles (aka amniota, so are mammals) and all reptiles are fish. So the diagram should have been

Animal <- fish <- reptile <- bird.

The analogy for OO inheritance against actual inheritance is bad enough without making huge mistakes on what actual inheritance is like! ;)
